Position Title: Permanent Part-time Program Manager Assistant/Educator

Reports to: NTHA Program Manager & NTHA Board of Directors

Position Summary: This is a remote position for a flexible number of hours every week depending on scheduled events, workload and time of the year. Some weekend hours will be required based on trainings and events. 25-30 hours per week (flex) with potential for more. This position will help the program manager with grant projects, educational events, outreach events, trainings and more. Correspondence with the program manager will determine what events and activities need to be attended and worked on. May need to fill in for the program manager as a representative of NTHA in relation to industry organizations such as the Hardwoods Development Council, the 2 other Hardwood Utilization Groups, Sustainable Forestry Initiative, and Pennsylvania Forest Products Association.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote long-term economic development in the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania through intelligent forest management, careful expansion of primary and secondary wood processing, improved manufacturing methods and regional hardwood promotion.

Relation to Mission

As a paid position amongst volunteers, the Program Manager Assistant will be needed to implement programs and outreach that will help support the mission and fulfill our grant. As a non-profit, grant funded association, we must meet the requirements of our state grant.

  1. Promotion of regional hardwood companies and products
  2. Public education and outreach in support of the state’s wood industry
  3. Resource point for the region’s companies
  4. Support local events
  5. Reporting (e.g. Daily Log, Monthly Report, Mileage)
  6. All other duties as assigned

You need to have your own reliable transportation.

Hourly Pay: $18-$20 per hour depending on education/experience

Mileage and travel reimbursement per federal per diem guidelines. There will be a board review of job performance after a 90 day probationary period.
