NTHA Community Forest Scholarship for High School Seniors
The Northern Tier Hardwood Association Community Forests Scholarship is offered to all High School Seniors in the nine-county area of Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wayne, and Wyoming counties, or to members of NTHA. To qualify for the $1500 scholarship, students must complete the following application, providing as much detail as possible, and submit it to: Northern Tier Hardwood Association, PO Box 7, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
*Please note, the scholarship amount has been increased from $500 to $1500 starting in 2017. There will be one Community Forests Scholarship awarded each year*
Deadline for applications is April 30th of each year. In addition, applicants must meet the following criteria:
– Be accepted to a Community/Urban Forestry, Arboriculture, or related field of study
– Be accepted to a Technical School, College or University
– Provide 3 references, including one outside of school
– Provide proof of acceptance, when received

NTHA Forest Resources Scholarship for College Students
The Northern Tier Hardwood Association (NTHA) of Pennsylvania is offering one $1500 scholarship to a student majoring in forest management, forest products, or a closely related field. Students should be current students at a two or four year college or university. In order to apply a student needs to to be a member of NTHA or have graduated from a high school or lived in one of the following counties in Pennsylvania: Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wyoming, Pike, Wayne, Lackawanna, and Luzerne.
*Please note, the scholarship amount has been increased from $500 to $1500 starting in 2017. Only one Forest Resource Scholarship will be awarded each year*

The Bradford-Sullivan Forest Landowners’ Association has organized a scholarship program available to students pursuing forestry, agricultural, natural resources management, environmental education or related field of study. Deadline for applications is May 1st.

Bradford County Conservation District Ernest Manchester Memorial Scholarship –
For: College Students
The Bradford County Conservation District has organized a scholarship program as a memorial to the contributions to our County’s natural resources made by the late Ernest Manchester. Each year a scholarship will be made available to students in an agricultural, natural resources mangement, or environmental education program. Deadline for applications is September 30th.
