Game Of Logging - Level 2 - Sat., May 4th in Dushore, PA
Cost: $90.00/person Level 2 focuses on maximizing chainsaw performance through basic maintenance, carburetor setting, and filing techniques. Limbing and bucking techniques are introduced, spring pole cutting is covered and more felling is practiced.  NTHA members are eligible for 50 percent reimbursement after attending the class. Women and Their Woods Spring Workshop - Sat. May 4 in Lake Ariel
Join the Delaware Highlands Conservancy, Women and Their Woods graduates and guests, and Northern Tier Hardwoods Association, as we learn Chainsaw Safety with a Game of Logging instructor and invasive species management techniques with a landowner. 


Bring a camp/folding chair, a lunch, dress for the weather, and bring a gas-powered chainsaw if you have one. Thanks to a grant from the Pennsylvania Environmental Council and support from the US Forest Service at Grey Towers National Historic Site, this program is free but space is limited and registration is required. If you have any questions, please call 570-226-3164, 845-583-1010, or email info@delawarehighlands.org.

Game of Logging - Level 3 - Sun. May 5th in Dushore, PA
Cost: $90/person Level 3 focuses on techniques for handling difficult trees. Topics covered include limbing, height measurement, segment calculations, wedging techniques and hinge placement. The felling is done against the trees natural lean and participants also limb and buck using techniques demonstrated in level 2. The Loggers Plus Expo is returning to the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds in Bloomsburg, PA on April 26-27, 2019. This show is aimed primarily at the forest industry, tree care, and other related woods product professionals who are looking for a strictly business-oriented exposition. The Expo debuted in April 2017 with about 100 exhibitors and 3,000 attendees, featuring a mix of live demo and static displays – both inside and outside. Click below to download show information.
